Zola is coming! The film, which was inspired by a viral Twitter thread in 2015, released its first trailer on Wednesday (March 31).
The movie is set to hit theaters on June 30, and was directed by Janicza Bravo and co-written with Jeremy O.

It is based on a 2015 Twitter thread that took the internet by storm despite being only 148 words long. The tweets were by A’ziah King, who was then a 20-year-old Hooters waitress.
