An Antiques Roadshow guest was completely stunned when she found out a vase she was given as a wedding gift was worth 50 times more than its value 47 years ago.
The woman showed the colourful two-handled vase to John Sandon outside the Lytham Hall in Lancashire and it instantly caught the expert's attention.
In the episode shown on BBC's Sunday programme, the ceramic and glass specialist glanced at the green-hued flower pattern vase and said: "I'm going to turn this over, because I know there's a name underneath, but you don't need to see the signature to know who did this." He shows the vase to the camera, revealing a green mark sprawling across the bottom as "W Moorcroft" above the iconic Macintyre pottery mark.
