It's not every couple who can say they met on the 'battlefield' - but it was Glenise and Ken's passion for wartime re-enactment that brought them together.
Glenise Walton, 71, and Ken Taylor, 79, from Oldham first crossed paths at the Yanks event at Upper Mill 15-years-ago. Such is their devotion to honouring the heroes of the Second World War, they were due to get married on Friday to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day - when Nazi Germany surrendered to the Allied Forces on May 8, 1945.
With a full 1940s theme, they had hired military vehicles and all 180 guests at Chadderton Town Hall were to donwartime uniform or civilian dress, with Churchill-era music to be played at the reception.
