The heartbroken family of a 29-year-old man who was stabbed to death by his girlfriend have opened up about the horrific domestic abuse he endured before he died.
Gary Cunninham was killed by jealous partner Olivia Labinjo-Halcrow following a long campaign of violence which left him feeling suicidal.
But his loved ones say they saw the signs of abuse but ignored them because he was a man. He was knifed 12 times at his home in Birmingham by the 26-year-old killer.
Gary's body was found by a passing delivery driver, Birmingham Live reports. Labinjo-Halcrow was found not guilty of murder but was instead handed an 18-year jail term for manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
