A grandmother has hailed the surgeon who fixed her injuries after a freak accident left her fearing she would never be able to hold her new granddaughter.
Mandy Taylor, 56, spent more than a year in excruciating pain after a fall left her elbows liable to dislocation when put under the slightest strain.
Her condition meant she was unable to do even the simplest tasks and had to take time off work - and also left her with mental anguish, Derby Telegraph reports.
But Mandy is now delighted after two operations from a "fantastic" surgeon have given her a new lease of life - and left her able to hold her grandchildren.
