Garcia was handed just his second-ever Champions League appearance despite telling the club he does not intend on extending his contract past next summer.
After informing the club of his stance, he was dropped for the last-16 second leg win over Real Madrid, but was then recalled for the quarter-final in Lisbon.
Asked if he still trusts Garcia, Guardiola insisted he is part of the first team plans. "Absolutely, absolutely. He played after lockdown important games against Arsenal, Liverpool and the other one," Guardiola said."For other reasons he didn't play.
