People from black and minority ethnic (BAME) backgrounds are "disproportionately" dying with coronavirus, a report from Public Health England has said.

The document, which was released today, examines the extent to which there are different outcomes from the coronavirus crisis for people dependent on their age, gender, deprivation, occupation and ethnicity.

The investigation found that age and gender are the biggest factors with older men being the most at risk. If that criteria is set aside, however, the report finds BAME people are at highest risk.
