Arsenal 's defence has long been a problem area and one that manager Mikel Arteta will be hoping he can finally address this season.
William Saliba has returned from his loan at Saint-Etienne and the Gunners have forked out more than £20m to sign Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille, meaning Arteta has a wealth of options at his disposal.Arteta ended last season favouring a system which utilised three centre-backs and wing-backs and continued with the same system in Arsenal's penalty shoot-out win over Liverpool in the Community Shield curtain raiser.If he continues in the same fashion then David Luiz will likely occupy the central defender role.On the right of defence will be Saliba, while left-footed centre-backs Magalhaes and Pablo Mari will.
