Convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein today moved to a state prison, after previously being held in notorious Rikers Island, according to reports.

The 67-year-old former movie producer was sentenced to 23 years behind bars earlier this month after he was found guilty of third-degree rape and a first-degree criminal sexual act earlier this month.

After leaving the New York hospital he was escorted on Wednesday to Fishkill Correctional Facility in Beacon, according to The New York Post.

A source told the publication that Weinstein appeared ‘sad’ about his move, however, it’s believed his cell in Fishkill will only be temporary as officials are looking to place him in a more permanent prison in order to serve his sentence.
