Fresh from her second second successive Saturday at the Number 10 briefing lectern, Home Secretary Priti Patel is now hoping she might be allowed out to perform on a weekday.
She has been put up so far on a day when ratings are down as people pop out to do a bit of shopping, sunbathing and socialising as part of the gradual ignoring (not me, Guv, home 23 hours a day for six weeks now) the stay at home, social distancing and shielding messages.
Mrs Patel meanwhile has been shielded from the media coverage of her performance, and in particular her proud boast to have presided over a huge fall in shoplifting, at a time most shops are shut.
