Royal Hospital Chelsea has said nine of its residents have died in the coronavirus pandemic, which has swept across the UK.
The retirement home for British veterans, which is home to 290, said five of the deaths happened at the home, while four died in hospital.
It was announced ahead of VE Day today, where the nation will come together to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany.
