UKHSA issues yellow cold health alert across large parts of UK including Greater Manchester

The UKHSA has issued a cold health alert covering large parts of the country including Greater Manchester which comes into force on Friday, February 7.

The warning comes as the Met Office has forecast a drop in temperatures which could lead to snow fall in some parts of the country.

From Saturday to Monday, the Met Office forecast reads: "Feeling a cold with an easterly wind over the coming days. Often cloudy, with showers of rain, sleet and snow at times in the south.

Brighter in the northwest." Over the weekend in Greater Manchester, temperatures are not expected to drop below 3C, however it could feel as low as -1C at times.
