Met Office map has laid bare where in the UK a scorching heatwave is set to hit hardest. The agency published the video on its Twitter channel, and shows high threshold temperatures in the east of the country.The map shows red-hot heat covering areas including London, Essex and Norfolk.A spokesperson said: "We're expecting a heatwave across big parts of the UK this week, we expect to get three days in a row above threshold temperatures."Most of England can expect this heatwave."A heat alert also reads: "Temperatures are expected to climb significantly this week, with good confidence for a period of hot weather between Wednesday and Friday."Temperatures exceeding 30C are expected quite widely, especially in central, southern and east.
