In the last 24 hours, the UK’s coronavirus death toll has increased by 164 fatalities, the lowest total to be announced on a Sunday since lockdown began.
NHS England reported 147 new cases, Scotland confirmed 9, Wales announced 7 and Norther Ireland recorded 1. The daily total is down considerably from recent Sunday totals, which tend to be lower on anyway due to a lag in reporting fatalities.
Of those that died, all had underlying medical problems and were between the ages of 40 and 100. Yesterday, a 12-year-old boy was included in the count, he is believed to of had underlying medical issues also.
