UK could record 'zero coronavirus deaths' by June, experts predict

There could be zero coronavirus deaths recorded daily by June, according to experts. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said there were around 400 daily deaths in England and Wales during May.

As it stands, there have been 35,341 deaths in the UK. But Professor Carl Heneghan, of the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine at Oxford University, predicts we could be recording zero daily deaths in June.

He told The Sun: "I think by the end of June we'll be looking at the data and finding it difficult to find people with this illness, if the current trends continue in the deaths.
