Officers were called to Westminster Drive in Leigh at around 12.50am today (22 August) to reports of a car being stolen. Two men armed with knives had ambushed a man stood outside his black VW Golf and demanded the keys to the car, police said. Following extensive enquiries, the Golf was later found abandoned in the Glazebury area of Cheshire. GMP were then contacted
