Andy Hough had just returned to his home in Bromborough, Birkenhead, from Freddie’s Bar, in New Ferry, when a man unexpectedly knocked on his house door.

When the 37-year-old opened the door, he was surprised to find a tall stranger who’d driven out of his way to return the wallet Mr Hough had dropped outside the popular bar and grill.
