Two people, who appear to be men, were spotted on the roofs of Specsavers and Poundland on Above Bar Street, Southampton, shortly before 3.41pm.

Hampshire Police said the two individuals appeared to be holding what looked like "long barrelled firearms" and deployed a search team to the area.

The individuals are yet to be located, the force confirmed, and no injuries have been reported, but police remain at the scene and enquiries are ongoing.
