The 23-year-old man killed in one of a series of knife attacks in Birmingham city centre on Sunday has been named by his family.
The family of Jacob Billington said he was "the light of our life" who "lit up every room". The loss of the "funny, caring and wonderful person" known for his "his boundless energy and witty humour" will be felt for years to come, the family said in a statement.
Jacob was fatally stabbed in Irving Street at about 1.52am on Sunday while out with old school friends from Liverpool who were visiting one of their group who is studying in Birmingham, a West Midlands Police spokesperson said.
