Billy Chapman, 14, was told his fresh style wasn't fitting after turning up at Writhlington School in Radstock, Somerset. His mum Emma says he dyed his hair when school was closed as a ‘pick me up’ after a difficult summer.
She says it is only "vaguely pink" - and complained he wouldn't have been punished if he bleached it blonde, reports SomersetLive.
