Two bodies have been found after a terrible Christmas day fire tore through a remote farmhouse in an affluent village. The blaze near the Sussex village of West Chiltington is believed to have started on Christmas Day with emergency services only alerted to it this morning.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were called early on Boxing Day after reports of a massive blaze at the house in Harbolets Road.
Sussex Police are investigating the tragic inferno, which has since been extinguished by heroic firefighters. Police referred to it as a "significant fire" which they were alerted to only at 9.10am today.
