manchestereveningnews.co.ukA new series based on Stephanie Meyer's 2020 book Midnight Sun is coming to Netflix. The streaming giant confirmed the novel, which retells the events of the first Twilight book from Edward Cullen's point of view, is being adapted into an animated series.
Currently in development, it will see author Stephanie serve as executive producer alongside her Fickle Fish Films partner Meghan Hibbett.
The Twilight series took the world by storm in the late 2000s, spawning a multi-billion film franchise starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.
The new series comes 12 years since the final instalment of the Twilight Saga - Breaking Dawn, Part 2 - released in cinemas.
