Sir Alex Ferguson’s hairdryer treatment is the stuff of legend at Manchester United - but on one infamous occasion, it went horribly wrong.
In February 2003, Ferguson went ballistic in the Old Trafford dressing room after watching his side crash out of the FA Cup against Arsenal.
The Scot, not a man to get on the wrong side of, let rip at his players during their post-match inquiry and kicked a boot on the floor out of frustration.
Cue one of the most iconic Premier League moments of all time… with the boot flying straight at David Beckham’s head. Beckham needed stitches on a cut he sustained from the boot, before eventually leaving United for Real Madrid the following summer.
