The tragic blast happened on Mallowdale Avenue in Heysham at around 2.40am this morning (Sunday). Two houses were found collapsed with serious damage to a third property.
Police have now confirmed that George Arthur Hinds, aged two years and 10 months, sadly lost his life in the suspected explosion.
