The French defender, 27, faces four counts of rape - three of which are alleged to have taken place during October 2020. A third allegation of rape involving Mr Mendy was made last month. Mr Mendy appeared at Chester Crown Court today (Friday) for a plea and trial and preparation hearing. He was produced from custody wearing a beige jumper and tracksuit bottoms.
