A dad who lived and studied in Salford has been trapped in Afghanistan for three months as he and his family fear for their lives.
Azfaar, whose name has been changed to protect his identity, went into hiding with his wife and two young sons after the militant group took control of the country in August.
He is terrified of what could happen if the Taliban find him and his family, due to Azfaar's British education and the nature of his previous work in Kabul.
The dad-of-two fears he could be mistaken for a British spy if he is caught. He hasn't left their place of hiding since August 15, with food shopping having to be done by female members of the family who can wear a veil to hide their faces.
