A seven-year-old boy was found unconscious at the bottom of a popular swimming spot but died soon after. The youngster went missing while with his family at Glenbrook's Jellybean Pool in the Blue Mountains National Park, Australia.
His worried parents called the emergency services about 2.20pm on Sunday. Looking for him themselves, the family found the boy at the bottom of the pool and got him out of the water at 2.45pm.
Photos taken at the scene showed emergency workers trying to resuscitate the young lad. A rescue helicopter arrived at the scene and the medical team were winched down to the scene.
He was then rushed by road to Nepean Hospital in Sydney's far west. His condition was critical and tragically he later died.
