Tragedy as baby dies at property in Lanarkshire

Police have launched a probe into the "sudden" death of a baby at a property in Lanarkshire on Friday. Emergency services were called to the property in Larkhall and tried to resuscitate the eight-month-old infant but sadly it could not be saved and was pronounced dead around 10.30am on June 3.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told Lanarkshire Live : “Around 10.30am on Friday, June 3, officers were called to an address in Larkhall following a report of an unresponsive baby. “Emergency services also attended, but the eight-month-old could not be resuscitated and was pronounced dead at the scene. "Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the death. “As with all sudden deaths, a report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.” Don't miss the latest headlines from around Lanarkshire.
