Tyldesley, was issued this morning. The decision was taken by Wigan council due to concerns about the safety of a building on the street.A spokesperson for the authority said the building owner's had been asked to put up scaffolding to secure the building, and the road closure would remain until the work was complete.The road is currently closed to traffic while bus services are being redirected.
A spokesperson for Wigan Council said: "We have asked the owner of the building (at 146) to erect scaffolding and secure it as we believe the building to be unsafe. "While the scaffolding is put in place, an emergency road closure has been implemented.
