Steve Morrow is on Tottenham’s shortlist to become their new academy chief. Arsenal legend Morrow, 49, is in the frame to replace John McDermott who left his role as Tottenham ’s head of academy coaching and player development to join the FA as assistant technical director.
Morrow was very highly regarded at Arsenal and is seen as the best candidate who is currently not in a role after the former Northern Ireland international was relieved of his duties last year.
Ex-Arsenal defender Morrow, who famously scored Arsenal’s winning goal in the 1993 League Cup final before being dropped by Tony Adams and injuring his shoulder in the post-match celebrations, had overseen a superb upturn in youth development.
