The Tories pumped more than £16million into last year's election campaign which delivered Boris Johnson a thumping 80-seat majority, figures have revealed.
Statistics published by ballot watchdog the Electoral Commission showed how the Conservatives targeted cash at polling firms and social media giants.
The party unleashed £16,486,871 from its war chest in the run-up to December's election, working out an average of £45,169 for each of the 365 seats the party won.
It recorded a net gain of 47 seats – working out at an average of £350,784. Spending included £1,689,000 with CTF Partners, the company run by Australian campaign mastermind Sir Lynton Crosby, dubbed the Lizard of Oz.
