The couple had been filming Luhrmann's Elvis biopic in Queensland when they were taken ill. The premier of Queensland, Annastacia Palaszczuk, has now said in a press conference that the veteran actor had been enjoying his time on the Gold Coast before coming down with the virus.
Palaszczuk went on to say that authorities were working with people who had been in contact with Tom and urged others to practice self quaratine. “Tom has been having a wonderful time on the Gold Coast and we are so lucky to have Tom in Queensland,” she said. “But what it is, is people who have come in very close contact with him
