Hollywood legend Tom Hanks is said to be twice as likely to develop serious health complications after contracting coronavirus than the average person, health officials have claimed.
Tom, 63, publicly announced on Wednesday that he had contracted the bug alongside his wife Rita Wilson. In 2013 Tom revealed he has been living with Type 2 diabetes.
The actor decided to speak frankly about the condition in order to help others during an appearance on David Letterman's Late Show in America.
Now the Center for Disease Control and Prevention has warned diabetics like Tom are at much greater risk if they contract coronavirus.
