Supergrass have announced that they will be playing a hometown show at the O2 Academy2 Oxford later this month.The recently reunited band announced in September that they would be playing a huge London show at O2 Academy Brixton on December 20. The band’s reunion dates were all set to take place in 2020, before being postponed due to COVID.Speaking to the BBC News, bassist Mick Quinn commented the upcoming gig could be their last in Oxford as a band on December 18.

Tim Healy and Denise Welch were posing at home with their young son Matthew. The husband and wife, of course, were famous Tyneside-born stage and TV actors. Tim, 41, had shot to fame with his brilliant portrayal of Dennis Patterson, the worldly-wise unofficial gaffer in the smash-hit television comedy drama, Auf Wiedersehen, Pet.

Supergrass have announced a special reissue of their self-titled third studio album.Released back in 1999, the original record contains the singles ‘Moving’, ‘Pumping On Your Stereo’ and ‘Mary’. It landed at Number Three in the official UK albums chart.Today (August 10) the Oxford band have shared details of a remastered and expanded version of ‘Supergrass’ (AKA ‘The X-Ray Album’) which will come out on September 16 via BMG (pre-order/pre-save here).Per a press release, the 2xCD and 2xLP editions will include a full remaster of the original tracks, sourced and re-produced by the group and their original long-standing record producer John Cornfield.They’ll also boast studio outtakes, previously-unreleased demos, B-sides, rare live tracks and exclusive 2022 remixes, as well as two re-imagined singles by John Leckie and Mick Quinn, and two remixed deep cuts by Mick Quinn and John Cornfield.We are excited to announce our classic 1999 album 'Supergrass' remastered.
