Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage (born March 5, 1963), better known by his stage name Joe Exotic, is an American former zoo operator, internet personality, musician, and convicted felon. The former owner and operator of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park (a.k.a. G. W. Zoo) in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Maldonado-Passage had claimed to be the most prolific breeder of tigers in the United States. He twice unsuccessfully ran for public office, first for President of the United States in 2016 as an independent, and then for Governor of Oklahoma in 2018 as a Libertarian.

'Tiger King' star Jeff Lowe willing to give up tigers, lawyer says

"Tiger King" star Jeff Lowe and his wife are willing to give up their tigers to resolve a Justice Department civil complaint, their attorney told a federal judge.

The complaint against the Netflix couple is over the animals' care. At a hearing Wednesday where the judge found the couple in contempt for violating a previous order regarding the big cats, attorney Daniel Card said the Lowes "want out completely." Lowe took over the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park from founder Joe Exotic in 2016.

He and his wife displayed big cats there until shutting down the park in August.They then moved to a new facility in Thackerville, Okla.
