Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage (born March 5, 1963), better known by his stage name Joe Exotic, is an American former zoo operator, internet personality, musician, and convicted felon. The former owner and operator of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park (a.k.a. G. W. Zoo) in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Maldonado-Passage had claimed to be the most prolific breeder of tigers in the United States. He twice unsuccessfully ran for public office, first for President of the United States in 2016 as an independent, and then for Governor of Oklahoma in 2018 as a Libertarian.
Carole Baskin
Carole Baskin (born June 6, 1961) is an American animal rights activist and owner of Big Cat Rescue, a non-profit animal sanctuary based near Tampa, Florida. Baskin drew public attention when she was featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness about Oklahoma-based private zoo operator known as Joe Exotic. The Netflix series follows both Baskin and Joe Exotic, filming their ongoing and escalating feuds over exotic animals in private zoos. Following the series' release, Baskin has been targeted by Internet memes related to the disappearance of Don Lewis, her second husband.

Carole Baskin, owner of Big Cat Rescue Corporation, was awarded the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Zoo in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, on Monday, June 1.Judge Scott Palk ordered Jeff Lowe, who took over the zoo when Joe Exotic (real name Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage) went to prison, to vacate the property within 120 days, Fox25 reported on Monday.

The animals must also be taken off the property.Baskin’s Big Cat Rescue Corporation won the case after the judge found that the properties were illegally transferred by Joe Exotic to his mother — an action he took instead of paying her a settlement in a trademark infringement suit.Joe Exotic, 57, is currently serving a 22-year sentence in prison for his murder for hire plot
