Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage (born March 5, 1963), better known by his stage name Joe Exotic, is an American former zoo operator, internet personality, musician, and convicted felon. The former owner and operator of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park (a.k.a. G. W. Zoo) in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Maldonado-Passage had claimed to be the most prolific breeder of tigers in the United States. He twice unsuccessfully ran for public office, first for President of the United States in 2016 as an independent, and then for Governor of Oklahoma in 2018 as a Libertarian.
Carole Baskin
Carole Baskin (born June 6, 1961) is an American animal rights activist and owner of Big Cat Rescue, a non-profit animal sanctuary based near Tampa, Florida. Baskin drew public attention when she was featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness about Oklahoma-based private zoo operator known as Joe Exotic. The Netflix series follows both Baskin and Joe Exotic, filming their ongoing and escalating feuds over exotic animals in private zoos. Following the series' release, Baskin has been targeted by Internet memes related to the disappearance of Don Lewis, her second husband.

Joe Exotic’s ‘band’ inks record deal, set to debut new song — ‘Killer Carole’

The band behind Joe Exotic’s tunes on Netflix’s “Tiger King” has inked a record deal. The one-man Vince Johnson Band (previously a two-man duo before member Daniel Clinton passed away in late 2019) has signed an exclusive licensing and distribution agreement with BMG Rights Management and Create Music Group, TMZ reports.

As part of the deal, Johnson’s songs from the viral docuseries will be made into an album, which will hit streaming services later this year.

In addition to established fan favorite tracks “I Saw A Tiger” and “Here Kitty Kitty,” the release will also feature new songs, including one called “Killer Carole,” set to drop on Friday.
