The borough now has the second highest rate in East Lancashire, behind Blackburn with Darwen. It also has the third highest rate across England, behind Blackburn with Darwen and Bolton.
Latest figures show that 223 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Rossendale in the last week. The figures are up from a rate of 138.5 in the week before, leading to May 22.
