Just after 3pm on Tuesday (September 14), officers received a report raising concerns about the large amount of cash a man in Tameside had spent on building work.
Officers attended and spoke to the 74-year-old, who police said was due to hand over a further £37,000 for more work. Cops arrested three men - aged 35, 28 and 23 - on suspicion of fraud by false representation.
