Pep Guardiola said he had joked with James Milner about the Liverpool right-back's lucky escape from a second yellow card in the draw with Manchester City.
Milner struggled to handle Phil Foden throughout the pulsating 2-2 draw at Anfield and was booked in the first half for dragging the City winger back.
With the score at 1-1 in the second half, Milner pulled Bernardo Silva down near the halfway line but escaped a second yellow card.
Minutes later Mohamed Salah scored to put Liverpool back in front. Bernardo and Guardiola were both shown a yellow card by Paul Tierney for their complaints about the incident, but Kevin De Bruyne scored an equaliser in front of the Kop to make sure the game finished level.
