Three Premier League clubs are weighing up the idea of placing cardboard cut-outs in empty stands when football gets back underway.
Top-flight chiefs are currently locked in talks over a potential return to action this summer, albeit in matches that will be played behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Bundesliga matches resumed last weekend, with the likes of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund returning to action in empty stadiums.
It made for a peculiar atmosphere in Germany’s top division; goals were met with eery silences and bizarre social-distancing celebrations, while players were forced to sit two metres apart on the substitutes bench.
