mirror.co.ukJadon Sancho has labelled the German football league an "absolute joke" after he was fined for getting a haircut. Sancho and his Borussia Dortmund team-mate Manuel Akanji were slapped with fines after pictures of the pair getting a trim emerged on social media.
Neither players nor hairdresser appeared to wear personal protective equipment in the pictures, which were taken at the footballers' respective homes.
A statement from the German league read: "The DFL has fined Manuel Akanji and Jadon Sancho. "The players from Borussia Dortmund had obviously violated general hygiene and infection protection standards at home hairdressing appointments and in particular the medical-organisational concept of the DFL task force.
