Three police cars have crashed on the A555 Manchester Airport Relief Road during a training exercise.Nobody was injured during the incident which took place shortly before 10.30am this morning (Tuesday, June 23).A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police said the cars were involved in a training exercise when the smash took place.It is understood officers were practising a 'containment tactic'.One lane on the A555 is closed westbound, but is due to be re-opened.An investigation into the circumstances of the collision is underway.The GMP spokeswoman said: "Shortly before 10.30am today on Tuesday, June 23, three police calls collided on the A555."The cars were taking part in a training exercise where they were practising a containment.
