Edinburgh. Russell Scammell, 34, was allegedly attacked in a common stairwell in West Pilton Grove on June 18. He was found seriously injured at around 5pm that day.
Mercy crews then rushed him to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. Scammell was jailed in 2009 for the abduction and torture of a teenager.
