Arsenal legend Thierry Henry took a knee for eight minutes and 46 seconds in a powerful statement of support for the Black Lives Matter movement.
Henry was taking charge of Montreal Impact's game against New England Revolution in the MLS is Back tournament when he made the poignant gesture in memory of George Floyd.
Wearing a 'Black Lives Matter' T-shirt, Montreal's manager went down on one knee for the first 8:46 of his team's opening game in the tournament.
That is the amount of time prosecutors originally said that police officer Derek Chauvin had kneeled on Mr Floyd's neck in the lead-up to his death.
