The coronavirus pandemic had gripped the world, yet some countries are experiencing it worse than others. In the UK, latest figures published today show that more than 26,000 people have died after contracting the virus.
This includes in all settings - hospitals, care homes and the community - for the first time. Globally, more than 217,000 deaths have been recorded as a result of the pandemic.
And right now, the UK looks set to have one of top three worst coronavirus death tolls in the world. Graphs which are used during the government's daily press conference compiles various data including transport usage, number of new cases, number of new deaths and global comparisons.
