Trafford say they have missed out savings of around £15,000 - one of them by a number of days.Both moved house between the housing market reopening on May 12 and the government's announcement this week.They say it's a 'kick in the teeth' and want the stamp duty cut to be back-dated to May.Suzanne Frank, 41, and her husband Michael, 38, moved into their new home on May 29."We were a bit worried about what was going to happen and it was all very stressful and difficult," Suzanne said."But after May 13, the government was urging people to move and 'help the economy get going', so we agreed it was the best thing to do."The move was very stressful because we couldn't get anyone to look after the kids, and, because of social distancing, it took.
