Production on The Batman has been suspended due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The film directed by Matt Reeves and starring Robert Pattinson as the titular hero, Bruce Wayne, has become the latest film to halt production due to the outbreak.
The film's studio Warner Bros. Pictures confirmed in a statement via Deadline that filming would be postponed. They said: "Warner Bros.
Pictures feature production of The Batman will be on a two-week hiatus starting today. "The studio will continue to monitor the situation closely." It is currently unknown if this suspension will be extended, or if the release date of the film in summer 2021 will be delayed.
