THE Apprentice's Akeem Bundu-Kamara has a famous pal from BBC Breakfast who's backing him to WIN the show. The reality game show returned tonight with sixteen new candidates in hopes of winning a £250,000 investment into their business idea and a 50/50 partnership with Lord Alan Sugar.
One hopeful is 29-year-old strategy manager Akeem, who is pals with BBC Breakfast star Gavin Ramjaun. The journalist, 40, thinks that his friend has what it takes to win the competition because of how "talented" and "driven" he is.
Gavin recently told the Daily Star: "He’s a talented, young, hardworking driven chap - and most importantly I respect his ethic as a black owned business operating in the fitness world." "Can’t wait to see how he does!" The newsreader has presented shows such as Newsround, Sportsround, BBC Breakfast and Daybreak.
Akem works as a strategy manager for a financial firm in the capital for his day job, but he is also the founder of sustainable sportswear brand Lockr Space.
