Teen yob jailed after violent street robbery in Paisley

An out-of-control teenager has been caged for a violent street robbery in Paisley.William McLean, 19, targeted Jose De Freitas in Moss Street when he grabbed him to steal his bike.Tanked-up McLeod seized hold of Mr De Freitas’ clothes and punched him in the face.A gang of unknown yobs then rained punches and kicks on him during the attack, which took place on September 10, last year.Paisley Sheriff Court heard McLean, currently in Polmont Young Offenders Institute, pleaded guilty to the assault and robbery, which left Mr De Freitas severely injured.

Defence agent Richard Allan said McLean had little or no recollection of the robbery because he had downed so much booze prior to the attack.
